Funny Christmas

Wow. If you read all of those posts that I just did I bet you're pretty bored. Anyways, this is the last one for the night. Just some funny pictures!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Two more to go! and I'm Van Gogh

That title rhymed. Unintentional.

So now I'm an artist. I was at Zach's house and he was painting this beautiful picture, so I watched him, and then when he had to go clean the kitchen he just goes "just take this over for me" And I was like "I got this" And then I just painted it up like it was no big deal. Then he came back and we tag teamed it. So pretty much I ruined it big time. Except that I didn't. He pretty much fixed all my mistakes haha. So I did the bush on the left and the outlines for the bricks of the light house. Zach did everything else. He's pretty good.

Just Tryin to catch up! And Cowboys

So since I haven't posted for a long time I'm just busting em out right now. Plus I'm sort of on a roll.

So one day at school I was in the hall during a class and I saw a real life cowboy. I got some pics of him and he didn't even notice. That's pretty cool.

Seminary

We made cards for the terminally ill, so naturally I made one for Nicole Darais (Diabetes). That was nice. But the real one I made was for Tyler. He's a total thug, I could tell. He's getting this pop up card.

HINT: It's a video. Watch it.

Danny fo' sho.

I'm Danny. I love Christmas. I can play the Ukulele, and sometimes the piano. That's basically all you need to know about me. Take it or leave it.

The Grand Buffet

Did you know that just about anything can be compared to The Grand Buffet?  That's what our priest's lesson was about.  It went like this:

"Imagine a cup of water and bread.

Now imagine a cheeseburger and fries.
Now imagine a Grand Buffet.  That's what I like to think of the three degrees of glory.  I mean, a cheeseburger is good, but there's gonna be a cheese burger at The Buffet anyways!  So you wanna get to The Grand Buffet, and not fall short."

We then were talking about how marriage and dating will get you to the grand buffet, and my bishop pipes in and says "You can't just date one girl, it's back to the buffet thing.  If you go to Tucanos and just try the grilled pineapple and say 'I like this the best, I'm not eating anything else' Then you'll never know what all the other food tastes like!  You gotta try it all!"  So basically everything is food. cool.

I guess that's just how a boy's brain works.

What is YOUR favorite food at Tucanos?

Yesterday and Today

Yesterday I made pies.  Today I ate everything.

The Oreo pie I made:

Stage 1:  Pudding in the Crust
Stage 2:  Whipped Cream on the Pudding
Stage 3:  Oreos in the Whipped Cream
MASTERPIECE!

and here's the banana cream pie I made!

DELICIOUS!

And here's today.  This is my first plate, it was soo good!  I love super bowl salad.  Or should I say I'm thankful for super bowl salad!

Thanksgiving rocks!  Now all we need is some snow!

*I, Danny Harding, survived the Utah blizzard of 2010!*

Old men.. Round two!

So home sacrament again, same old guy, but this time he had an oxygen tube in his nose, and his big dog was gone and there was only a little one there. So I told him "I see you got a new piece to your wardrobe!" He just looked at me and said "I don't know anything that's goin on I've been dead all week."

...and that's all I remember him saying. I should have blogged this right after so I could remember.. I think he might've said something about eating the dog cause it's little... Anyways, he's a funny old man!

Happy thanksgiving! Tomorrow I'll show you the pies I made today. I mean, today I'll show you the pies I made yesterday!! Goodnight

Girls.

Most girls clothing doesn't have pockets.  That's why they'll never rule the world.  That includes Kassie Hymas.

funny old men

At home sacrament today we went to Brother Adams' house.  He's the craziest old man I know, but so funny!  Here are a few of his quotes from just today:

"All bad guys are the same everywhere... They have more fun."

"One day I'm gonna cook this dog and eat it."

"Is that The Book of Mormon or a chinese dictionary?  Or are they the same thing?"

And then as were were leaving....
"See you guys later!  Don't step on your shadows!"

Brother Adams is a great guy!

Perfect scheduling--the 30 minute plan

I have nothing to write about except for this plan I've had for a while, but has yet to go into effect.  It's called the 30 minute plan.

It goes like this:

1.  You figure out all of the things that you want to do EVERYday.  I for example want to play Basketball, play the ukulele, play the piano, read the scriptures, go on the computer, and read a book.  I guess homework can join as well.

2.  Then you take each of those things and put them by order of importance.  I would say 1: Scriptures 2: Basketball 3: Homework 4: Ukulele 5: Piano 6: Computer 7: Book reading

3.  You then take each of those things, in the order you just put them in, and do them for 30 minutes each.  With my 30 minute plan it would only take 3 and a half hours to do everything I wanted to do that day, and then there's even some time left over!

Now obviously you don't have to do it in the same order everyday, and if necessary you can do something for more than 30 minutes (a mister Deans homework assignment for example)  But if I got home from school everyday at 2:30 and did my 30 minute plan, I would be completely done with everything by 6 O'clock, leaving a few hours to do something else fun, or do some more of one of the activities I've already finished.  The main thing you have to worry about is self control.  If you start browsing the internet for something while looking at facebook or whatever and end up on the computer for an hour and a half, that's bad news bears.  Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.

Go ahead and comment your revision to the 30 minute plan or any advice you have for it!  I'd love to incorporate your ideas!

Join me on my spiritual day.

Sorry this is so long, but it's totally worth reading.  Guaranteed.

Today was freaking dope.  First of all, morningside.  That was sweet.  He said to be missionaries on the internet, so here's my "two cents" (Lisa).  Seminary was awesome.  We were talking about the different glories and all of that crazy stuff, you know the stuff that always blows your mind?  Yeah.  Anyways, the deal is that if we don't repent then we have to suffer what Christ suffered.  I'd rather use repentance.  Also, there's no such thing as burning in Hell, cause you don't burn there, it's just spirit prison.  All they do there is teach you what you didn't accept on earth...  It's like eternal high school, but you never get to go home.  That lesson made me feel good too.

Finally missionary splits.  We went out and no one would let us into their houses.  There was this old lady who was like "what do you want?!"  We told her and she said "We're not interested!  We're catholic!" (Ask me at school to do the accent, she sounded pretty funny)  And then we got a call about this guy who wanted to quit smoking, so we went to a church building and talked to him.  But first we gave him a tour of the building and explained all the paintings to him.  He loved those.  So we sat down and talked about the B of M for a while, and the missionary goes "you know that picture of the guy praying on the gold plates? (Moroni) This book is those gold plates."  That hit me so strong it was crazy.  My chest felt so big.  Then the investigator says "you know that warmth?  like, it's always with  my cause my angel is protecting me, but when I walked in here I just felt the warmth like 10 times as much cause of all the angels protecting this place."  It was a funny way of putting it, but that was definitely the spirit, and I loved it.  I realized that I take the spirit for granted so much because it's basically always with me.  Since we have it all the time, I think that we don't realize how much it's with us.  But if you stop for even just 30 seconds and realize what you're feeling and let it really engulf you, then you'll be able to feel the true spirit, as well as Christ's love for you.  Jesus Christ is the best, and he died for me.  I love him so much.  And now it feels weird not to put this, so I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Park City. Shirts. Girls. N64.

So Monday and Tuesday I was in Park City for DECA!  Park city was awesome!  First, when we got there, we went to the outlet mall.  Of course I only went into the NIKE outlet store..   It was awesome!  There were like 15 different shirts that were 2 for 20, so Zach and I both got two.  One of mine has a basketball on it, and the other one says "Remember the Legend".  Be looking for those shirts in the next two weeks. One's white, one's gray.  Then there was some classes and those were boring, but they fed us both days so it was alright.

MAJOR PLUS:

Lehi ladies.  They were on the same bus as us and were pretty cool.  Also, they were definitely babe status.  Maybe we'll be facebook friends one day!

Finally, Nintendo 64.  Zach brought it, and it was sweet!   We played some classic DK 64, and then we switched to BLITZ 2000!  It was so much fun!  And Carson Wilde totally hustled us.  He was acting like he didn't know this game, but then he just wrecked us in it every time!  He's a BLITZ king!  That kept us pretty busy last night.  So sweet

College for reals yo

I'm in Idaho!  I'm learning that the college life might actually be fun.  As long as Matt Maughan and Austin Ellis are your roommates that is.  Since I got here I've: played basketball, got free blueberry muffins, watched The Sandlot, and played FIFA.  Good times so far.  Plus there's no parents to let you know what you should be doing.  That's a plus.  Tomorrow oughta be good!

Service

When the question arises "What are we doing for mutual?"  and the answer comes back "Service Project!" People always seem to have something come up...  Strange.  Well we went to the garden right behind the cannery and picked tons of tomatoes.  we also sorted them.  we also had a tomato fight.  The service project activities always turn out to be the most fun, so I don't see why everyone has such a bad attitude about them!!  oh well

Mowing the lawn

I mowed the lawn on monday.

"But wait Danny, wasn't it raining all of monday?"

Yes.  Yes it was.

It was so manly!!  I just threw on some basketball shorts and a jacket and got busy.  I finally did something worthy of the address of this blog-- do work yo.  That work got did.  Holler.  If you've never done something in the rain that is usually done in the sun, you should try it.  Most of the time it makes it better.*

Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow

These books are so sick!!  They intrigue the beegies out of you.  They have some awesome quotes that make you think REALLY hard.  Here's just a little sample.

"You made them hate me."
"So? what will you do about it? Crawl into a corner? Start kissing their little backsides so they'll love you again? There's only one thing that will make them stop hating you. And that's being so good at what you do that they can't ignore you."

"I think it's impossible to really understand somebody, what they want, what they believe, and not love them the way they love themselves."

"I am your enemy, the first one you've ever had who was smarter than you. There is no teacher but the enemy. No one but the enemy will ever tell you what the enemy is going to do. No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you where he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. I am your enemy from now on. From now on, I am your teacher."

If you can't do it twice, you can't do it at all.

Nobody controls his own life. The best you can do is choose to be controlled by good people, by people who love you.

I have two brothers so this one hits home:

The thing with brothers is, you're supposed to take turns being the keeper.  Sometimes you get to sit down and be the brother who is kept.

Gotta find a way to get to your heart to sweep you off your feet
I'll wrap you up, in my love, cover you with kisses so sweet

My Idol

Kimbo Slice.  He's 5 times the man I'll ever be.

Skull Cruncher III (born February 8, 1974), better known as Kimbo Slice, is a Bahamian-American Mixed Martial Artist. He became famous for being the buffest man alive and street fights which were spread on the Internet.  He is more black than snoop dawg and LeBron James combined.
This spectacular specimen of a man has more hair on his chest than most women do on their heads.  Slice left the underground fighting scene and signed a professional contract with EliteXC in 2007, a company based in Liverpool England that specializes in finding and devouring children. After EliteXC declared bankruptcy in 2008, Slice became a free agent, ransacking entire towns at a time. Throughout his career he was helped and guided by his good friend Danny Harding.  His signature quote, said before each and every match, was "Danny is a great kid.  Any woman, girl, child or man would be lucky and should feel honored if he took them to the homecoming dance event."  Slice competed in The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights, where he lost in his first fight to veteran fighter, and eventual series winner, Roy Nelson. In his UFC debut, Slice defeated Houston Alexander by actually ripping his body in half in the finale, but lost in his second UFC fight to Matt Mitrione at UFC 113.  Despite the loss, Kimbo still only left with a sore knee.  Mitrione was carried out on a stretcher.  Skull Cruncher wears Old Spice.

His Chest hair is an arrow to his face.  sick.

Whatever dog. Plus my birthday party.

So to all of my FOUR followers (so many!!)  I'm sorry for taking so long to write another post!   I've been working on my eagle.  I'm closer than I've ever been!

The Real Point Of The Post:

What makes a good day?  --------->>>   Any day that you play basketball.  I actually played decently today, unlike the last 4 or 5 times.  So I was happy about that!   Plus I created my first event on facebook!  No matter how afraid I was of it, it was actually easy!  That event?  My Birthday Party.  Saturday Sept 25, 7:30 pm. be there or be square!

Haircut! psych

In the past two days 3 people have complimented my haircut.  You know that one I didn't get?  yeah that one.  I don't know why they all thought I had a haircut, but it was cool anyways!

The other day I was wandering outside in my yard and found this little guy...

That last picture is pretty tight.. maybe I should be a photographist.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Birthday Poem

Yes, it is my mother's birthday
and I think it would be grand
To write a poem for her birthday,
Cause I'm her number one fan.

My mom's name is Teresa
I think she's 28?
She's definitely not obese-a
And she is really great.

She makes me lots of Breakfast
She also makes my lunch
Sometimes dinner's a heck-fest
But she usually holds back her punch

She gave me birth, that was nice
She also likes to bake
She doesn't watch Miami Vice
She gives more than she takes

My mom is very pretty
(I think that's where I got it)
She's smart and very witty
She can pop lock and polka-dot it!

Anytime I need her help
to ask a homecoming date,
All I have to do is yelp
Her service is first rate!

So although this poem seems as if
It was written by a child
It doesn't matter, What's the diff?
Happy Birthday mom go wild!!

I think that the sky early this morning was painted for my mother's birthday.. here it is

It looked better in real life

There may not be marriage... But there will be dancing

Today my date Mardi and I went on a date.  It was tizzite.  Bowling, Kong Kones at Maceys, Maceys dance off yo, and then a movie: My Best Friends wedding.  It was pretty much the best movie known to man.  And here is the best scene for your eyes to enjoy.  If you want to see more of it you'll have to come watch it with me.  I'm pretty much watching it every Saturday for the rest of my life. Now feast your optical sensors on this.

YOU'RE WELCOME.

The Works

I went to youtube to listen to music, but I didn't know what I wanted to listen to.  I just typed in the word 'music' and chose the first video on the list.  It was one of the most amazing things I've seen. like ever.  Watch it now, and you'll be happy forever.                             ^

Also another shout out to Jessica Marquis (not Mckell Staheli) for being the FIRST visitor to this blog yo!  They are both so tight and so short!

I have to make a blog for scouts.  This blog must have three entries.  And pictures.  And a link.  That is why I'm going to make three posts in one day.  Some say excessive.. I say brilliant.  So on the topic of scouts, these are the 4 merit badges I got in the past 2 days:
Backpacking
Dentistry
Personal Management
Music
It was a good, productive two days.  I'm on a roll!

New Blog

I am Danny Harding.  This is my blog apparently.  I think I owe this to Jessica Marquis.  Her blog was my inspiration for... certain things, including this blog.  What are the odds that the same day I read a blog for the first time one of my merit badge assignments is to create a blog?  blog is a funny word.  Clearly I can't think of much right now because Jessie's blog was so dazzling that my brain functions got fried.  Anyways welcome blog friends!  The End.  9 = the number of times I said blog <--(including this one)
